How many is too many? I currently have 6, but have decide to whittle it down to 2. As I only have two devices (tablet and phone) that require a keyboard, this seems like a reasonable amount.

It does mean saying goodbye to some good friends though. The LG Rolly was (let's be honest) a bit of a pain to type on, but oh so gadgety. In it's place is Microsoft's Wedge keyboard, whose cover doubles up as a stand for my phone when I'm typing.

Gone too is the Logitech K380. It's rounded keys soft and easy to type on. It also matched my mouse, the Logitech Pebble. As much as I loved this keyboard it was just too inconvenient to use with a tablet.

My long term staple the Thinkpad keyboard is also being set out to pasture. With its built in trackpoint this was a lovely bit of kit, but more suited to desktop use than a tablet companion.

The bluetooth Artek I'll not miss. It's small plasticky keys felt cheap and lifeless. Instead I'll be using another Microsoft product, the Surface Go Typecover keyboard. Despite the slightly cramped nature, it is a well engineered and good feeling keyboard. The perfect partner for the Surface Go.

As a programmer I spend a lot of time typing on a keyboard. I think its only fair some trial and error be allowed when finding the right set of keys. For now.
